Sgt. Robert L. Everitt was killed on Dec. 7, when he was struck by an out-of-control pickup truck while he was directing traffic at the scene of a minor accident.

No charges were filed against the driver.

Everitt had been with the agency for 10 years.

His wife and three children survived him.
